Our strategic vision here at Immanuel Bible Church is to present mature followers of Jesus Christ, who seek Him constantly, serve Him faithfully, and who share him boldly. Our team of trained counselors and volunteer caregivers serve to care for our elderly and infirm, bind up the brokenhearted, and encourage those who are encountering trials and challenges.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 sums up our ministry well… “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”
In order to meet these needs, we offer the following facets of our outreach:

Counseling Ministry
The Bible declares that there is safety and victory in the abundance of counselors, “Where there is no guidance the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory.” Proverbs 11:14. Our counselors are especially equipped mature believers, trained in Biblical counseling, with the practical skills needed to encourage, exhort, and demonstrate love to members of the IBC family. Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation Resources
For the last 50 years, the mission of the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) has been to “restore Christ to counseling and counseling to the local church.” They train pastors, counselors and ministry leaders to work skillfully in the biblical care of souls. To this end, CCEF’s School of Biblical Counseling (SBC) offers affordable graduate-level distance learning. Online courses are taught by professors at Westminster Theological Seminary from their Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program, and cohorts of students are guided and graded by trained Online Instructors. CCEF courses are internationally renowned, and available to anyone; no application or prior educational degrees are required! Courses may be taken either for credit or audit, and up to five courses may be transferred towards Westminster’s MAC degree.1 The SBC offers two certificate programs: Foundation (2 courses), and Essentials (5 additional courses).
